๐ง Setup Instructions
- Choose a safe location
Place the chafer on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface in a well-ventilated area. Keep it away from children, pets, flammable decorations, curtains, and other materials that could catch fire.
- Set up the chafer
Make sure the chafer is fully opened and positioned securely before adding food, water, or fuel.
- Add water to the water pan
Place the dripless water pan into the chafer and add approximately 1 inch of hot water. Do not overfill the pan.
- Place the food pan
Place the included 8-quart, 2½-inch-deep full-size food pan securely inside the water pan.
- Add the food
Add hot, fully cooked food to the food pan. The chafer is designed to keep food warm—it is not intended for cooking food.
- Install the fuel cans
Place the two 6-hour chafing fuel cans into the two fuel holders underneath the water pan.
- Light the fuel
Carefully light each fuel can according to the instructions and warnings printed on the fuel container. Keep your face and hands away from the flame while lighting.
- Close the roll-top lid
The stainless-steel roll-top lid opens to approximately 90°. Do not force the lid beyond its designed opening angle.
- Allow the chafer to warm
Allow the chafer to heat gradually before serving. Keep the lid closed when food is not being served to help retain heat.
๐ฅ Safety Guidelines
PLEASE READ BEFORE USE
- Never leave lit chafing fuel unattended.
- Keep children and pets away from the chafer.
- Keep the chafer away from flammable decorations, table coverings, paper products, balloons, curtains, and other combustible materials.
- Use the chafer in a well-ventilated area.
- Never place food directly over an open flame. The water pan must remain between the fuel and food pan.
- Never use the chafer to cook raw food.
- Do not move the chafer while the fuel is burning.
- Do not touch the fuel cans, fuel holders, water pan, food pan, or other metal components while they are hot.
- Use caution when opening the roll-top lid. Hot steam may escape and cause burns.
- Keep your face and hands away from the opening when lifting or rolling back the lid.
- Do not force the roll-top lid past 90°.
- Never allow the water pan to completely dry out while the fuel is burning.
- Do not add water directly to a burning fuel can.
- Do not use damaged, leaking, or compromised fuel cans.
- Follow all safety instructions and warnings printed on the fuel cans.
- Keep an appropriate fire extinguisher accessible when using open-flame chafing fuel.
๐จ Extinguishing the Fuel
When you are finished using the chafer, extinguish both fuel cans according to the instructions printed on the fuel containers.
Do not remove, handle, or dispose of the fuel cans until they have been completely extinguished and cooled.
๐ฝ๏ธ Usage Tips
Keep Food Hot
Place hot, fully cooked food into the food pan. The chafer is intended to maintain serving temperature rather than cook or reheat food.
Monitor the Water Level
Check the water level periodically throughout your event. If additional water is needed, add hot water carefully to the water pan. Avoid splashing or pouring water near the flames.
Keep the Lid Closed
The roll-top lid helps retain heat and protect the food. Keep it closed when guests are not actively serving themselves.
Open the Lid Carefully
The roll-top lid is designed to open to approximately 90°.
Please do not push or force the lid farther back.
Use Serving Utensils
Use appropriate serving utensils when handling food. Avoid placing personal utensils directly into the food pan.
Don't Overfill the Food Pan
Leave enough room in the food pan to allow guests to serve food without spilling over the sides.
Allow for Proper Airflow
Do not cover or obstruct the fuel area or ventilation around the chafer. The fuel requires oxygen to burn properly.
Fuel Burn Time
This rental includes two 6-hour chafing fuel cans. Actual burn time can vary depending on the fuel product and conditions. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the fuel containers.
